Sohoton National Park

The Sohoton National Park in Sitio Rawis, Brgy. Guirang, Basey, Samar is about 840 hectares consisting of several fascinating geological features including caves, hugs, limestone boulders, rockholes, weathered formation rocks and underground rivers.

The fantastic sites within the park area include:the cathedral-like caves-Panhulugan I and II, Sohoton and Bugosan, which are endogen caves in angular limestone cliff, which support the base of other crack system.

The place can be reached through a two and a half (2½) hours motorboat ride from Tacloban City and two (2) hours ride from Basey proper.

Agalon Beach Resort

Another site with rising popularity in Eastern Visayas, Philippines is the Baybayon ni Agalon Beach Resort in Albuera, Leyte. The place is a perfect nature trip with soothing ambiance of the forest and the sea merged together in beautifully landscaped area. Our visit to the place in December was a memorable experience. The cool waters of the pool and the warm touch of the calm seas were truly reverberating. We highly recommend the area for both local and foreign visitors.
