Sohoton National Park

The Sohoton National Park in Sitio Rawis, Brgy. Guirang, Basey, Samar is about 840 hectares consisting of several fascinating geological features including caves, hugs, limestone boulders, rockholes, weathered formation rocks and underground rivers.

The fantastic sites within the park area include:the cathedral-like caves-Panhulugan I and II, Sohoton and Bugosan, which are endogen caves in angular limestone cliff, which support the base of other crack system.

The place can be reached through a two and a half (2½) hours motorboat ride from Tacloban City and two (2) hours ride from Basey proper.

I love caves, but unfortunately I wouldn't be crazy about a 2 1/2 hour motorboat ride! Guess I'll have to settle for pictures :)
